Founder's Associate

Work directly with the founder on whatever the business needs that week, and slowly take real pieces of it off his plate.

One day it is coordinating a podcast recording, the next it is fixing a client handoff, researching a market, or writing the process doc so the same problem does not come back. The work is varied and sometimes unglamorous. What you get in exchange is unusual: you see every part of how this business runs, and the parts you handle well become yours to run.

What you will do

  • Handle whatever is most important that week: production coordination, client ops, outreach, research
  • Turn recurring messes into documented processes
  • Keep the founder and the people involved informed without being asked
  • Gradually own more of the business as you prove it

What we look for

  • You finish what you start, and you have examples
  • Vague instructions do not scare you; you go figure it out
  • You write clearly and keep people informed without being asked
  • You pick up new tools quickly

Engagement and compensation

Engagement and compensation terms are discussed before an interview.

Remote, by design

This is a fully remote position accepting applications worldwide. The application form asks for the country you currently work from and your time zone so we can coordinate.

Hours, education, and experience

  • Working hours: you state your weekly availability and time zone in the application. The schedule and working hours are confirmed before an interview.
  • Education: the public application does not request degree information, and this listing states no minimum degree.
  • Experience: you state your years of relevant experience and provide concrete evidence of your work. No minimum is stated for this role.

How to apply

This is a current position accepting applications. Apply through our application page; your application goes to Hiring HQ for review. Include examples of things you have taken from messy to finished: projects, processes, or operations you ran end to end.
